A friendly well established fishing club founded in the 1950's in Hyde Cheshire.
The club has two waters.
Newton Bank
Newton Bank on the outskirts of Hyde. This water varies from 2ft to 12ft in depth offering the angler a choice of methods to catch from the large stocks of Roach, Perrch, Bream and Tench, as well as tackling the Carp population. The water holds 24 pegs and is surrounded by trees making it an oasis amidst the busy area.
Strines Lodges
Strines Lodges, which are to be found in Strines - Marple . The main fishing lodge called The Dovecoat varies in depth from 3ft to 8ft and carries large stocks of Roach, Bream, Perch, Tench and Crucian Carp. Again there is a large head of Carp for those prepared to wait. Summer fishing can yield big catches with the right method. The water although not far from the railway station is set in tranquil Cheshire countryside and is very near to caravan parking should the angler want a short break holiday.
The club holds matches every Tuesday on Newton Bank from May to September for senior citizens and disabled anglers in the club and bookings can be made for matches on both of the waters.
